Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4 is a Jaw-Dropping Sensual Shroom Dream

Another year, another Savage X Fenty show in the bag.

Superstar + billionaire mama Rihanna recently released her annual fashion show on Amazon Prime Video and it gave EVERYTHING it was supposed to give. Hot dances, music, performance, with a Savage twist. By the end, my jaw was on the FLOOOR. What else can be expected from the queen?

Like the Mistress of the Jungle, Riri pulls us into the supernatural universe that is her lingerie + lounge brand. The show was also the launch of Savage X Sport, a new, sexy athleisure part of the Fenty collection. It was jumpsuits, corsets, fishnets, sport sets and bras galore.

The trippy- like intro + transitional animation by Oddfellows was a highlight; beautifully well done + increased the hypnotizing magic of the show as a whole. No matter what transition though, the Savage show was sure to keep you hot + bothered with the pure sexual grace from both models + stars alike.

Whew, we were all sweating.

The choreography was lit, each movement being intentional, precise + bold, along with the mix of music that came it it. The energy from the dancers was addicting, making damn sure to keep your attention at all times; the addition of certain cultural aspects of dance were included as well, as done by choreographer Parris Goebel, who just won an Emmy for last year’s Fenty fashion show.

Performances were by Anitta, Don Toliver, Maxwell and Burna Boy, with eye catching set splashed with brightly lit naturesque scenes + stages designed from Desert Oasis to Crystal Kingdom by set designer + creative director Willo Perron.

A wide range of stars from every generation was phenomenal, including social media influencer Rickey Thompson, Shang Chi’s Simu Liu, Snowfall’s Damson Idris, Abbott Elementary’s Sheryl Lee Ralph, Taraji P. Henson, former Black-ish star Marsai Martin and of course, the unfortunate appearance of actor Johnny Depp, not too long after his domestic abuse trial with ex-wife Amber Heard.

After the online rumors went wild on Twitter, fans alike were disappointed to see it confirmed, as that can be viewed as Rihanna’s choice to take a side and continue to support the actor despite allegations. However, his appearance was the only hang up the show had and was 40 seconds long out of the 40 minute show. As much as I wish he wasn’t involved, seeing him did not affect my enjoyment of the show in it’s entirety. I also, however, cannot + will not speak for others who were possibly triggered by the appearance more than me personally. Still, I do wish he wasn’t included at all.

All in all, Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 4 was an otherworldly experience; forty one minutes of a hot + sexy shroom fantasy that introduces us to the new collections in the most lit way Rih knows how.
